Overview

Julio’s Liquors is helmed by Ryan Maloney in Westborough, Massachusetts. It’s a family-run establishment and they recently celebrated their 50th year in business. What began as a humble 1,000-square-foot shop with a single register has transformed into a 36,000-square-foot emporium, now boasting five registers and a dizzying array of offerings beyond just spirits. With this growth came the need for a robust, reliable point-of-sale (POS) system to match their ambitions.

The Challenge

Despite investing in new equipment from another vendor, Julio’s Liquors found themselves slowed by inefficiency and mounting frustration. The hardware was present, but the software—much like a fine wine paired with the wrong cheese—wasn’t suited to the store’s needs.   • Scalability and Growth: The tailored solution supported their expansion and was especially effective during busy weekends and holidays, offering a built-in time clock and commission tracking for employees.
